Trope

No book is without a trope. They happen, regardless if a writer is intentionally including a trope or not. Tropes are not bad; those are clichés—when the concept has been wrung out of everything it’s worth (still, it’s all a matter of personal taste).

A dreamer is one who can only find her way by moonlight, and her punishment is that she sees the dawn before the rest of the world.
